Rain will begin moving into Southern Ontario during the morning hours on Saturday, with some thunderstorms possible. Rain may be heavy at times, moving west to east. The steadiest rain will move through in the morning, with some showers remaining through the day.
The heaviest rainfall amounts are expected within Central Ontario, including Algonquin Provincial Park, Huntsville and Parry Sound, where 20 to 30 millimetres of rain is expected. The rest of the region is expected to see 10 to 20 millimetres of rain.
Many areas are already experiencing flooding, which is expected to worsen with further rainfall. Ensure you do not drive through flooded roadways and obey all road closures.
Environment Canada has issued Rainfall Warnings (Yellow Level) as well as Special Weather Statements for the incoming rain.
