With a hot and humid airmass in place over Southwestern Ontario, there will be a risk for strong to severe thunderstorms to develop this afternoon and evening.
Some uncertainty remains regarding the development of thunderstorms, and thunderstorms may not develop due to atmospheric conditions. Any storms that do develop may intensify very quickly. Additionally, not all areas may see thunderstorms if they become scattered.
Areas in the Low risk area may see heavy rainfall with amounts of 40 to 60 millimetres, an isolated tornado, wind gusts up to 100 km/h, hail 3 to 4 centimetres in diameter, and frequent lightning.
Areas in the Very Low risk area may see heavy rainfall with amounts of 40 to 60 millimetres, a low risk for an isolated tornado, wind gusts up to 90 km/h, hail 2 to 3 centimetres in diameter, and frequent lightning.
Areas in the Non-Severe risk area may see heavy rainfall, wind gusts below 90 km/h, and small hail.
