Wednesday will bring hot and humid temperatures to the area, along with increasing humidity. Extreme Southwestern Ontario, such as Windsor, Sarnia and Chatham are expected to see Humidex values of 40 to 45ºC. Much of Southwestern Ontario and the GTHA are expected to see Humidex values of 35 to 40ºC.

There will be a risk for severe thunderstorms, with torrential downpours and strong wind gusts likely. Stay tuned for a Severe Weather Outlook.

By Thursday, the heat and humidity will become more widespread. Humidex values of 35 to 40ºC are expected across the region, with Humidex values of 40 to 45ºC expected across Southwestern Ontario and the GTHA.

There will be a risk for severe thunderstorms on Thursday as well.

Heat Warnings (Yellow Level) have been issued for Southwestern Ontario by Environment Canada.

Ensure you remain hydrated during this period of extreme heat, and avoid extended periods of time outdoors. Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, it can be fatal.
