With a hot and humid day expected across the region for Tuesday, there will be some showers and thunderstorms that move through the area. Some thunderstorms may become strong to severe.
Within the Very Low risk area, the main hazard will be torrential downpours, which may bring 60 to 80 millimetres of rain during any thunderstorm. There is a very low risk for a weak landspout tornado, wind gusts up to 90 km/h, and hail 2 to 3 centimetres in diameter. Flooding and flash flooding will have a Moderate impact due to the expected torrential downpours, while power outages remain as a Low impact as wind is not an anticipated hazard.
Streets and highways may see some flooding and ponding during heavy rain. Low-lying and poor drainage areas will be more prone to flooding during heavy rain as well.
The main time frame for the severe weather potential will be from 2 PM Tuesday to 1 AM Wednesday.
