Wednesday, September 2, 2026 will be an Advance Weather Alert Day due to extreme heat and severe weather.

Air temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s are expected in Southwestern Ontario, with Humidex values in the mid 30s to low 40s.

Never leave children or pets inside a parked car, as it can be fatal and vehicles heat up quickly.

Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if you are working outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling strenuous activities.

Severe thunderstorms are likely during the afternoon and evening and may produce torrential downpours, damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes. Please see the posted Severe Weather Outlook for further information.
